• Opening your search in classic search no longer stops to ask where you are looking. JobLens carries over the location your search is already using, and when the page shows none it fills in your own country — so you never land on whatever region your LinkedIn account defaults to. If even that can't be worked out, it searches worldwide rather than guessing.
• Because nothing has to be typed, “Always switch to classic search” now does what it says: turn it on and every new-style job search reopens in classic search, with no prompt in the way.
• The classic-search button in the popup is gone. The button on the search page already did that job, and the popup keeps the toggle. Filters with no classic equivalent are still dropped in the move — the search-page card now says so before you press it, rather than after.
• Fixed: a location you were typing could vanish mid-word. LinkedIn rewrites the address bar as you click through job cards, and the card mistook that for a different search and rebuilt itself. It now recognises your search across those rewrites — and with the location resolved for you, there is nothing left to lose in the first place.
• No new permissions were added, and none were changed. This release asks for exactly what 2.1.0 asked for.

• LinkedIn's new AI job search can't sort by date. JobLens reopens your search on LinkedIn's classic search page, where newest-first still works — from a button on the search page and one in the popup. The sorting is LinkedIn's own date sort, on LinkedIn's own page; JobLens just gets you there with your search intact.
• It asks for a location first when none can be read from the page, and tells you if a selection couldn't be carried over. Nothing is dropped silently.
• New “Always switch automatically” toggle, off by default, in the popup. Turn it on and every new-style job search reopens in classic search for you. When it can't read a location, it asks instead of guessing.
• The classic search page is LinkedIn's, and LinkedIn may remove it. If that happens, JobLens says so and pauses the button instead of failing silently — one click turns it back on to try again.
• The classic-search features are free, run entirely in your browser, and send nothing anywhere. AI summaries are unchanged: still 5 a week with a free account.
• No new permissions were added, and none were changed. This release asks for exactly what 2.0.1 asked for.

• Blocked companies no longer have to disappear. A new “Hide blocked companies” switch, in both the popup and Settings, lets you keep them in the list marked with a “Blocked” label instead of removed from it — so you can see what you are filtering out rather than take it on trust.
• Dismissed and blocked jobs are easier to tell apart. Blocked now carries the red treatment and dismissed a dark grey, and each states itself in words on the card. A job that is both says both.
• The “Summarize jobs automatically” switch is now in Settings as well as the popup. It was only ever in the popup, which made it easy to miss.
• Fixed on LinkedIn's new job search layout: the “Easy Apply” tag now renders as a proper badge with its icon inside it, and dismissed or blocked cards no longer collapse into an unreadable sliver.
• The popup no longer needs scrolling to reach the bottom of its switches.

• Every account now includes 5 AI job summaries a week, at no cost — on the same model and the same pipeline the paid plan uses. There is no reduced free tier.
• Need more than five in a week? One $19 pass covers 60 days. A $10 top-up adds credits without starting a new pass. The weekly, seasonal and $49 BYOK-lifetime plans are retired.
• Bring your own key is now free. If you supply your own Google, OpenAI or Anthropic key, there is nothing to buy - the only limit is a 1,000-summaries-a-day fair-use ceiling, there to stop automated abuse.
• What changed in data handling: AI summaries now require a free account, and we keep a per-account count of how many you have used so the allowance can be enforced. The job description text you ask us to summarize is sent to our server, forwarded to the AI provider, and not stored — not the text, not a hash of it, not the summary. Generated summaries are cached for 7 days in your own browser so revisiting a posting costs nothing.
• The summary panel has been reworked, on both the classic and the new LinkedIn job search interfaces. A job you have already analysed now opens instantly instead of running again, a new one starts sooner, the panel stays open or closed the way you left it as you move between jobs, and the heading and buttons no longer shift while it loads.
• Filtering, keyword highlighting and company blocking are unchanged, still run entirely in your browser, and still need no account.

• BYOK lifetime users can now choose a specific model per provider — Google Gemini (3.6 Flash, 3.5 Flash, 3.5 and 3.1 Flash Lite, 3.1 Pro), Anthropic Claude (Opus 4.8, Sonnet 5, Haiku 4.5), or OpenAI (GPT-4.1, GPT-4.1 mini) — instead of an unnamed default.
• The model list and one-click key test now load reliably in Settings.
• Signed out? The BYOK panel now shows a clear “Log in / Sign up” prompt instead of errors, plus general Settings polish.
