LinkedIn's new AI job search - the interface served at linkedin.com/jobs/search-results/ - removed the sort-by-date control and most of the job filters. There is no "Most recent" toggle on the new interface, and no universal setting restores it.

Until 2026 one workaround survived: LinkedIn's classic search page at linkedin.com/jobs/search/ still honored sortBy=DD and served results newest-first. LinkedIn has now removed that page as well. What LinkedIn removed: the classic search URL (sortBy=DD)

The classic job search at linkedin.com/jobs/search/ was a separate, server-rendered interface that accepted a far richer set of URL parameters than the new one. sortBy=DD ordered results by date, newest first. f_TPR=r<seconds> took granular values there, so f_TPR=r3600 really meant the past hour. And workplace type (f_WT), experience level (f_E), job type (f_JT) and Easy Apply (f_AL=true) all applied as strict URL filters.

That page no longer exists. LinkedIn has removed the classic search route. A /jobs/search/ URL no longer serves the legacy search page, so guides, forum threads and browser extensions that tell you to build one - including earlier versions of this page - describe something that is gone. There is no replacement parameter: sortBy is not honored anywhere on LinkedIn job search now, and no extension can restore date ordering, because the ordering was LinkedIn's own and it was on that page.

What still works: date-range presets on the new route (no date order)

On the new interface itself (linkedin.com/jobs/search-results/), the f_TPR parameter still narrows the date window - for the preset values. These were verified on 2026-08-19, before LinkedIn removed the classic route; they are unchanged here and worth re-checking against what LinkedIn serves you today:

  • f_TPR=r86400 - past 24 hours (verified 2026-08-19).
  • f_TPR=r2592000 - past month (verified 2026-08-19).

Four limits to know before you rely on it:

  • Finer values are coerced to the nearest preset: f_TPR=r3600 renders the same results as the 24-hour preset, not a past-hour view.
  • sortBy is stripped on the new route. Date order is not achievable there by URL: these presets narrow the window, they do not reorder the results. With the classic page removed, this is now the whole of what LinkedIn offers for recency.
  • The classic route's other filter parameters are stripped there too: f_WT, f_E and f_JT are ignored on the new route.
  • The new interface's own attribute filters may not strictly constrain the results either: a filter applied in its UI (the Remote chip, for example) can still surface jobs outside it - observed directly. Treat filtering there as soft.

Put a location in the URL. A job search opened without a location (or geoId) leaves LinkedIn to pick the region for you, and what it picks is your account's default - a user in France can get US results. Name the place you mean.
